They provide individual and group counselling for Spanish-speaking women, as well as life skill groups and stress reduction groups. Counselling can address interpersonal relationships, depression, anxiety, loss, grief, as well as stress/trauma related to a woman’s migratory experience and/or life experiences in their country of origin.

Individual counselling offered in English, Spanish, Farsi, Turkish, and Arabic. Also offer various groups and workshops (including anger management).
Wait time: Usually quite short, but dependent on language; wait time is shorter for weekday appointments.
Cost: No cost for individual counselling, some groups have costs.

There are several FST locations, the two that offer Spanish-language services are:
○ 355 Church Street(Central Office)
○ Victoria Park & Eglinton
They offer general counselling for individuals, families, and couples. For general counselling, Spanish-language services are available at Victoria Park & Eglinton location, with a wait time of roughly 3 months.
They also offer Spanish-language seniors/caregiver counselling at their Central Office and Victoria Park & Eglinton. The wait time is roughly 4-5 months. At the Central Office, they run a Spanish-language seniors support group on Wednesday mornings.
Cost: Sliding scale fee for general counselling, based on annual household income. Services for seniors are free of charge.

COSTI Immigrant Services

Individual counselling offered in Spanish, English, and Italian. They also offer some groups, and a psychiatrist is accessible for internal clients. Counselling services are open to everyone.
Wait time: At least 6 months.
Cost: Sliding scale fee, No one is turned away.

Centre for Spanish-Speaking Peoples

They offer a violence against women program, supporting women and their children who have been involved in a domestic violence situation. They generally do not work with women who are still living in the abusive relationship.
Services offered:  Orientation and information about legal rights and court escorting; Telephone and in- person crisis counseling; Individual counseling; Assessment for children/ Witness of domestic abuse; Long- term support program for women leaving an abusive relationship; Support groups for women and children affected by violence.

Catholic Family Services

They offer individual, family, couples, and group therapy. There are Spanish-speaking counsellors at the Central Office.
Walk-in counselling available: Tuesdays from 9am – 7pm.
Wait time for ongoing services: 2-3 months.
You can access their walk-in counselling service once/month while on the wait list for ongoing counselling services.
Cost: Sliding scale fee, based on what client is able to pay (they won’t turn anyone away).
Referral Information: Self-referral, call phone number above. For walk-in clinic, you don’t need to call ahead, but they recommend calling to make sure there is a Spanish-speaking counsellor available that day.

Casa Dona Juana Services

They offer programs for seniors – including a community kitchen & garden,  interpretation services, computer classes and other recreational, exercise or educational classes.Also offer health workshops on topics such as heart health, nutrition, diabetes, arthritis, breast cancer, osteoporosis, and mental health.
Cost: $10 membership fee for those who can afford to pay.
